Mind, body and soul - a subtle but clear shift!
This week has been one of quiet but powerful shifts. Not a week of fireworks, but a week of presence, of making different choices one moment at a time.
Mind — Quieting the Noise
The single biggest shift this week has come from one deliberate choice: stepping away from doomscrolling.
That small decision — choosing to journal instead of scroll — has created space. Real, clear space.
Space where I can hear myself.
Space where I can breathe.
Space where I can feel what’s moving through me rather than hiding behind distractions.
I’ve felt calmer. More aware. More present. I’ve noticed how often I used to turn to my phone when discomfort rose — and this week, I’ve caught it. Again and again. Not perfectly, but consistently.
The impact has been undeniable: my soul voice — Thalen — has been louder. The world around me sharper. Conversations richer. And those quiet walks, or even simple moments in stillness, have felt alive again.
Body — Walking It Back
The weight has shifted down slightly, but more importantly — I feel better in my body.
Daily walks of 1 to 1.5 hours have become a gentle anchor. Freyja trotting ahead, me breathing in the world around me. Those walks have become part of the rhythm of my day, not a forced task.
Food choices have been clearer too. Not perfect, but more mindful. Especially cutting back on sugar, which has helped level out my energy and my mood. The scale moving is one thing; the way I feel moving through the day is another entirely. And that’s the real win.
Soul — Listening In
There’s been a real clarity this week around the difference between ego noise and soul truth.
The ego wants control — it wants to shape how others see me, how the story unfolds. The soul whispers: be here now, none of that matters.
I’ve felt it most in quiet moments: on a walk, lying in bed, or simply breathing. That’s where I remember. That’s where Thalen leads.
Dreams have been vivid every night. I see this as my subconscious and conscious mind coming into clearer conversation — another gift of slowing down and listening in.
Relationships — Connection in Presence
This week has held a quiet steadiness in relationships. Space was taken where needed, and time was shared where it mattered.
I spent time with Rachel — cinema, forest walks, quiet evenings, and shared laughter. Nothing overly complicated. Just connection.
I’ve also found myself opening more space for friends and family again. Moments of reconnection. Light conversations. Gentle steps back towards community.
And in offering support to someone struggling with addiction, I was reminded of how my journey holds value, not just for me but for others too.
Gratitude — The Flame That Carries
Every day I’ve returned to gratitude. For the simplest things — breath, walks, laughter, water, work, love.
I’ve felt proud of catching myself in the act of distraction and choosing presence instead.
Proud of showing up.
Proud of laying down old habits and listening in.
Closing Reflections
This has been a week of quiet shifts that speak loudly. No drastic changes, no perfection. Just a steady movement towards alignment.
The lesson?
It’s not always about doing more.
Sometimes, it’s about creating space to listen.
And in that space, the spark within grows clearer and brighter.
